Welcome to my first installment of Friday Gems!
Can you feel that weekend breeze yet? As I mentioned in my last post, I have a lot that I'd like to share with you before summer officially comes to a close and Decorative Gourd Season takes hold. Slow mornings where I visit my favorite blogs over a cup of coffee are some of my favorites, and though they don't happen too frequently during the work week, I try to stay involved and engaged when I can. Starting today, Fridays around here will feature some of my personal favs, takeaways, silly nothings, etc., from the week. I will also be including a delightful question posed to the group. Think of it as an opportunity to engage and learn more about this sweet little community, and to help me get a feel for who is in the room, you know?
Without further ado - here is what sparked some joy this week:
Who Made My Clothes? Friends, this question is so important. Andrea at Seasons and Salt is a completely inspiring blogger and a fellow ethical + sustainable fashion enthusiast. She has many beautiful things to say about capsule wardrobes and clothing and motherhood, and this guest post by Leah Wise really struck me. Give it a read, even if you have never considered where your clothes come from.
Growing a Minimalist Wardrobe - Denim Edition. Erin's blog is a go-to for me, and I especially love her minimalist wardrobe installments. I'm currently grappling with my denim choices for fall, and this post provided a nice reminder of how to go about making my selections.
Backstage Goodness - I really love this post. Dressing room shots feel so intimate. It's like catching a glimpse of how an artist's personal mantra manifests.
Essential Oils for Fall - Want your home to smell AMAZING? Well then this is the guide for you. I'm still playing around with the essential oils I received recently, and this use is tons of fun.
Jamming - I have been listening to this song on repeat since I heard it earlier this week. Big shout out to James at BlueBird for turning me onto this one. It's funky and soulful and has quickly become a favorite in our home.
Pregunta: What are you listening to these days? What's your go-to Friday sound? What makes you want to show people what you're working with? Let me know what's on repeat in the comments below!
Have a great weekend everyone!
